Intelligently modified surfaces improve and expand the application possibilities of polycarbonate glazing in terms of aesthetics and building physics. Polycarbonate facades and skylights gain significantly in value and offer an economically attractive alternative to alternative solutions made of glass and metal.

Reflecto surfaces give a pearly appearance and increase the reflection of solar radiation. Heat development indoors is reduced and helps to save air conditioning costs. In combination with an opal coloring, pleasant glare-free and diffuse daylight is guaranteed, especially in the roof area.

BICOLOR = 1 panel / 2 colors
arcoPlus® panels can be produced in two colors on the inner and outer sides using the coextrusion process. This creates design effects on the facades and also controls the light transmission.

Anti-graffiti treatment

An “AG – Antigraffiti” surface minimizes damage caused by vandalism and paint sprayers. The special oil and water-repellent coating prevents a deeper bond with the panel surface and thus facilitates subsequent cleaning.

A special surface coating on the entire outside of the glazing panels prevents a variety of aggressive chemicals (especially aqueous solutions of cooling lubricant oils) from causing stress cracking.

Anti-glare coatings in the BiColor process on the inner shells of the arcoPlus® panels scatter the penetrating daylight, which not only reduces heat input but also minimizes glare.

AB Absolute

This special coextrusion process preserves the transparent appearance of the facade by coloring the outside translucently while simultaneously coloring the inner shell opaquely. This prevents the rear construction and insulation from being visible from the outside.

IR Solar Control

Glazing panels with solar control surfaces absorb high-energy infrared radiation (780 – 1,400 mm) on the outside, but allow other wavelengths of solar radiation to be transmitted through the glazing. This reduces the temperature rise in the building by up to 25%.

UV-Matt/Satin gloss

Co-extruded matt or satin matt surfaces on the outside prevent glare and reflections and scatter daylight evenly inwards. This gives the facades a more high-quality appearance.

Special coatings on the outside to protect against UV radiation further extend the service life of the polycarbonate glazing and enable extended guarantee periods of up to 15 years.

Prokulit and ArcoPlus® panels can be printed with grids or images. Screen printing is recommended on the outside, and images can also be digitally printed on the back.

The Caleido system offers coloring of the glazing panels that goes far beyond the well-known color palette, allowing unlimited color design. The desired color can be taken from samples and translated into the corresponding polycarbonate masses for production. Both translucent colors and opaque colors are available.
